Forum Post of the Week - Help for Injured All Star

cheerlove2005 writes, "My daughter, just yesterday, broke her right index finger in two places doing a roundoffbackhandspring. She has done them thousands of times before and for some reason this time, she landed it wrong with her fingers back and hence the injury. The problem is that the doctor put her on the R.I.C.E. treatment and told her that she wouldn't be able to cheer in the "Spirit Cheer" competition in 2 weeks at Disney World. She's heartbroken over this because she feels that by being out, she is letting her team down since she is one of the main flyers...She insists that she will be better by then but everyone, including me, is telling her different. How can I help her?..."
