Pleasant Valley High School has Won Varsity's American School Spirit Award

Each year Varsity recognizes a team for exceptional school spirit and this year's recipient is the Pleasant Valley High School’s cheerleading squad. The team epitomizes the qualities that make a school stand out. Coached by Pam Cinadr, the Spartans have qualified for the Iowa High School Athletic Association Award for Academic Excellence for the past two years. Beside their outstanding community service, this team also can boast of exceptional academic achievements:
- 80% current Pleasant Valley cheerleaders are taking honors and AP courses
- 2/3 of current squad is on the honor roll
- 3.41: combined G.P.A.
