The Cheerleading Poem
by Brittney

Bases, Bases, how thankful am I
That you are underneath me when I fly,
How sorry I am, when I fall
Because I end up kickin' you all.
I know it's hard, I know it's rough,
But I have to give you props,
because you guys are tough!

Flyers, Flyers, what fun we have!
Getting thrown in the air, is such a blast!
They toss us up, way way high
We feel as though we can touch the sky!
Stunts are fun being lifted through the air,
It's okay bases, don't be scared!

Back spots, back spots, what to say?
You've been behind me, all the way!
I start to shake and try to fight,
then coach yells " Brittney, you better stay tight!"
You yell the counts for me to come down,
Then catch me OH so quickly, so I don't hit the ground.

Cheerleading, Cheerleading is the best,
it puts our abilities to the test!
Work so hard, but still get to play
Lets hear it for Cheerleading..
Hip, Hip, Hooray!
