"Oh Geez..."
Let me start off by saying that in my hometown, cheering is totally the worst thing ever. I mean, we have a few really good squads, well two, but to everyone else, cheering is just ...not...something you do. But I cheer, and I am also Capt. of my high school's surf team and I am It Girl for our local skate park. So I always change out of my uniform before I have to go do anything in public, but one day I couldn't. My sister had to pick me up late and I did not have my surf gear with me (who keeps a wetsuit in their backpack?), so I had to change when I got to the beach. I totally forgot that we had a county contest that day, so I got to the beach in my cheer uniform and every surfer and skater from the entire county was there. To make matters worse, the skate park in another part of the county was sponsoring it, and the It Guy was my close friend. He called out on the loud speaker, "...And I would love to introduce FS's It Girl and SCHS's top frosh, Veronica! Come up here Roni! Doesn't she look cute in her cheer uniform?" it was bad, real bad. EVERY KID in the county saw me, and the ones who weren't there saw it the next day in PE class. (After a county contest, instead of PE, you watch the whole CC.) I still get banked, sloshed, and burned to a crispy marshmallow for it... And now on our It Girl posters, they have me on my skate in my cheer uniform!

"Just Goofy!"
Okay, well me and one of my best friends are like so goofy and we always are the ones getting in trouble and goofing off. Well, we always joked about after we finished our routine at a competition how we would trip each other so we fall in front of everyone. Well it was a joke and here we are at a big competition and as we're spriting off stage she sticks her leg in front of me and I fall fast, smack on my face and I was the only one still on the mat, I just kind of looked up from the ground and everyone was watching me!!!~ oh my gosh it was so embarrassing! She's my baby girl though so it didn't make me one bit mad.. but I gotta get her back.

"High Flying"
It was my first season as a Varsity cheerleader, and I was a new flyer. I had never been up in an extension before, but we decided to try it in practice one day! It hit perfectly:-) So we decided to put it into a routine for our next game! (which happened to be against our rival school...BIG game so of course I was psyched!) So we get to the game and our halftime routine is AWESOME and it comes time for the stunt! OK, at practice my feet felt a lil uneven, but I didn't say anything b/c I could handle it and I thought it would be better at the game (BIG mistake, lol) so I'm jumping into it, and I go up and I swear, there must have been a 6" difference between the heights of my legs! So not only did I fall from the stunt, I landed on my backspots head and rolled off her back! I was so embarrassed! EVERYONE saw it! OUCH it hurt like heck, but we laughed it off and finished our routine!
We've all had some moments when we've wanted to crawl in a hole to hide our embarrassment. But the best remedy is usually to just laugh along with those who are laughing at you. What do you do when you're embarrassed? Take Our Poll.
