No one can say Cheerleaders don't have a good sense of humor. The very imagine of a Cheerleader is one of a young man or woman with a big smile and gregarious personality. They are normally fast to laugh at a joke and even faster to laugh at themselves. As these next stories prove, Cheerleaders can laugh it off.

"Falling on my Butt in Front of Everyone"

My squad and the boy's Basketball team were at an away game. We were doing the starting lineups and I tripped over my own feet. I fell on my butt and slid on the floor. I just got back up and put a smile on my face! I was so embarrassed!!

But later that summer I met a guy and he was telling me about this cheerleader who fell on her butt at a game...and I was like," That was me!" He couldn't stop laughing at me!! Oh well!!

"I've got spirit!"

I was cheering at a football game and during quarters we cheer on the left side of the field. ONLY for halftime do we go out on to the middle. I forgot this little rule and went shouting, rallying, and power tumbling straight to the middle of the field as my team, way on the edge of the field looked on with surprised looks on their faces, then broke out in uncontrollable giggles.

Well, I got a lot of applause for that little solo performance... :o)

"Bloomer Fiasco"

When I was in kindergarten, I was a mascot cheerleader for our school's football team. I lived in a very small community where the elementary school went up to the seventh grade. When our uniforms came back my bloomers were about two or three sizes too big. It was too close to the season for them to do anything about it so my mom safety pinned them for me.

So one night when it was time for us to do our little dance out in the middle of the field, I got about halfway through the routine when my bloomers fell down around my ankles. So there I was standing in front of almost everyone in our community not to mention my mother with my bloomers down around my ankles trying to finish the routine and act as if nothing was wrong.

My face was about as red as our uniforms!

We've all had some moments when we've wanted to crawl in a hole to hide our embarrassment. But the best remedy is usually to just laugh along with those who are laughing at you. What do you do when you're embarrassed? Take Our Poll.
