Kernersville, NC (September, 2010)- Superstarz Cheer and Dance Championships has named Dylana Alred its new Merchandising Director.
Mrs. Alred will be in charge of the selection and sales of all merchandise and clothing for Superstarz Cheer and Dance during the 2010-2011 Championship Season.
Superstarz Cheer and Dance purchases, creates and provides its own merchandise and sales for all events, camps and clinics. "Mrs. Alred brings a solid design and merchandising knowledge to our company, and has a great understanding for what helps brand the Superstarz name", says Kevin Hansford, Founder and National Director of Superstarz Cheer and Dance. "She has tremendous experience in the cheer and dance industry and is respected among industry peers. That is a large part of why we have chosen her to lead the merchandising team for our company and take our branding initiative to the next level."
Dylana Alred has been involved in the cheer and dance industry for 20 years as a dancer, cheerleader, teacher and company owner. She began dancing at age 4 under the direction of Susan Bodsford, and has been trained under such names as Wade Robson, Dan Karaty, Mia Michaels, Barry Youngblood, Dennis Caspary, Dee Caspary, Caroline Lewis and the North Carolina School of the Arts. She has been awarded numerous Regional and National awards.
She has also been a cheerleader, cheerleading coach, dance instructor and USA Gymnastics coach, recognized for her award winning choreography. Dylana will use her knowledge of the changing industry trends and her experience in merchandise and sales to provide Superstarz Cheer and Dance with a new, industry first merchandise program that will change how they not only brand themselves, but will set a standard for how other companies utilize merchandising, including providing merchandise shopping through the web. Superstarz Cheer and Dance handles the buying and selling of nearly all its merchandise, clothing and branded items. Among the standard t-shirts and cheer shorts, Superstarz Cheer and Dance has expanded its market into other branded and non-branded merchandise, such as designer purses and clothes, shoes, accessories and casual wear.
