Name, Squad and Cheering Level:
Jordan Morkin of the Green Bay Elite in Green Bay, WI; level 5.
Stunting Position and Years Cheerleading:
I truly have every position; backspot, primary, secondary, and flyer. I've been cheering for 7 years.
My team winning the 2007 Small Senior Small Gym level 4 NCA Nationals. It's been a dream of ours since we began cheering. Our first year we went to Dallas we barely made it to finals, but we did and we placed 15th. The next year we went back and we placed 2nd by .06 to Georgia All Stars. This past year we worked so hard and we were on a mission. We had a pretty big division, 15 teams total, so when awards came down to the top two teams we were so happy we were one of the teams. We were sitting there waiting to hear who was in second place and when we didn't hear Green Bay Wisconsin we went crazy with excitement.
Favorite Part of Cheering:
Wow to ask for one favorite part is hard, there are so many things I like. If I really had to pick one it would be that cheerleading is a team sport. It takes all of us teammates working together towards one goal. We have to work hard "together" not as individuals.
The best memory is going to Worlds. It was an amazing experience and something I will never forget. Worlds was very exciting for me because I also had a big decision to make because it was the same weekend as my Jr Prom. I knew at the beginning of the season if we were honored enough to have the chance to go to Worlds these two events may conflict. When we received the bid I knew I had to decide fast and it is was a quick decision because my team is really important to me and I was going to worlds! It was the best decision I've ever made.
Team You Look Up to the Most:
There are so many teams that I look up to, but truly the one I admire the most is mine, Green Bay Elite Pink. We are a small gym from the championship town of Green Bay, where being a hard worker is a way of life. We have accomplished a lot by working together from the beginning, and this team has taught me so much not only about cheerleading, but small things that I will use in everyday life.
