The Bottom Line
A lot of cheerleaders don't get the respect they deserve, but I feel like this is even more true of rec cheerleaders and that this video makes a great effort to change all that. In the video you get to experience the journey a Pop Warner squad takes to make it to Pop Warner Nationals. I won't tell you if they win or lose, but I will tell you that you're sure to come away with a new appreciation for recreational cheerleaders, their volunteer coaches and rec programs as a whole, especially Pop Warner.

Guide Review - Blood, Sweat and Cheers - Cheerleading DVD
The movie, Blood, Sweat and Cheers, is authentic and heartwarming. From the very beginning you are rooting for the young girls, their volunteer coaches, their families and their school/program. The story is a real glimpse into the lives of recreational cheerleaders and the importance of support from their community, family and program. Blood, Sweat and Cheers also offers you a chance to look at a true Pop Warner cheerleading squad from the many young women that come up through Pop Warner to the hours that volunteers work tirelessly to make it happen. The background story is that the Burlington Pop Warner program has a long history of National titles, eleven to be exact, but never one for this junior midgets squad. The squad has competed for 4 years, brought home 2nd place three years in a row, but has never received that coveted 1st place trophy.
