Below are the winners of the 2006 Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA) Merit Awards. 1. 2006 SITA Merit Award for Best State Association

The 2006 SITA Merit Award for "Best State Association" went to the Golden State Spirit Association (GSSA).

The 2006 SITA Merit Award for "Best Coaches Conference" went to Cheer LTD for their National Coaches Conference (NCC) held in Fayetteville, NC.
