Why I want to be a cheerleader.
I love cheerleading because I am a very cheery person. In a game or in life, I'm always looking on the bright side of things. Cheerleading is very fun, it's the only sport in the world that I'm good at, so that's a perk! I love practicing the cheers all day and making sure they are perfect. I love cheering!
Lessons I've learned from cheerleading
I've learned in cheerleading that it is a sport. You don't just dance around. It's much harder than it looks, if you mess up as a flyer, base, backspotter...you have to run laps or do push ups! Tumbling takes so much hard work and effort. If you get bad grades, you will be kicked off. You have many lessons to learn, such as not to "woo" or sing the cheers -- you have to say them loud and proud! There are so many lessons I've learned!
Advice
- It's the only sport I'm good at - I don't feel as much of a loser!
- It's taught me that no sport should have a stereotype. I'm not a snob!! I'm still a crazy, random, freak of a person!
- That no sport is 'above' the other - I strongly believe Cheer should be in the Olympics!
- That cheerleading makes people happy and little girls fill with awe. I remember how I acted when I saw cheerleaders when I was six or seven! I joined Cheer Camp right away!
- It's changed my life for sure - I've never been so excited of a weekday before!
- I must say, although it might not sound nice - I just HAVE to brag! LOL!!
