Youth Team Coach Of The Year
Press Release from the BCA (British Cheerleading Association).

Karen Gaskin of the Honeybees Cheerleaders has been awarded "Youth Team Coach Of The Year" by Bracknell Forest Council on Friday.

Over seven hundred nominations were received, across the spectrum of sport. For a cheerleading coach to be recognised for this award is a very special achievement reflecting credit on everyone in cheerleading and underlining increasing public awareness and respect for this activity. The Honeybees are actively involved with many community events and support.

At the prestigious gala function the finalists were honoured. When they read out the winner Karen said she was speechless but delighted with the honour. "our successes has been a team effort". The squad was invited to perform.

The Honeybees will be one of the squads representing Britain at the CanAm International Championships in Myrtle Beach, NC, USA, in March.
