"Tryout Jitters"
"I was trying out for my high school Cheerleading squad. I was the new freshman and I was so nervous about it. We had three more days until the big day and I had no clue how to do our cheer dance. Everything was so easy except the last move in the dance. You had to do a half of a handspring and then a twist and land a certain way. I thought I would totally bomb out on that. Well tryout day came along and I was nervous as usual. The time came for me to do my dance routine. It came the time where I had to do the hardest move alive and I mastered it perfectly except when I landed....I landed with this huge BOOM!! and everyone laughed! But I made the squad. So just because you make a mistake doesn't mean that you won't get on the squad. Keep smiling and act like it never happened!"

"Don't let them go alone"
I had one of my freshman cheerleaders that we were having a terrible time getting her to show that competition spirit. No matter how hard we worked, it wasn't happening. One day during practice she asked to go to the rest room, I said sure. About 2 minutes later she hollered for me, I kinda brushed her off - thought she had seen a mouse. She hollered again and with terror this time. So the entire squad takes off running as they entered the restroom, they all started screaming for me. When I got there all I could see was one freshman cheerleader with blood pouring out of her head. After we laid her down and aided her I asked her how it happened and she said, "I was practicing being spirited and when I clapped my hands and did my head - I hit it on the toilet paper dispenser!" She went to hospital and ended up with four staples. So now no cheerleader goes to the restroom without a friend. Oh by the way she has spirit now!!

"Have a nice TRIP see you next FALL"
My squad is coed and this year we really wanted to show up competing schools and show them how far we have come. Well, at a USA regional this year we were on fire. All of our stunts hit and it all looked good. Well we got to the dance and we were all pumped up we were on fire. As we transitioned to our last formation out of the dance I tripped on someone's foot right, landed on my butt, I thought I hurt my ankle but I popped up. When we got the taping of the competition the whole time during the dance it is focused on my belly button which has a flapping band aid covering my piercing! Yah well we still got second!

"Big Trouble"
Well it was time to show our cheer to our parents and friends. Everyone ran out and cheering and shouting, "go team." While running out I tripped over a mat and landed right on my face. Worst of all, I had a mark on my face from the mat! AHHHH and the kid I loved was there. I still get laughed at about it!
We've all had some moments when we've wanted to crawl in a hole to hide our embarrassment. But the best remedy is usually to just laugh along with those who are laughing at you. What do you do when you're embarrassed? Take Our Poll.
